Getting Help -- Business Help

Business Response Team

Following the May 2010 flood, Nashville Mayor Karl Dean created a Business Response Team, coordinated by the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce, to assess the needs of Davidson County businesses and structure a coordinated plan of corporate involvement to meet the needs of businesses impacted by the flood. Businesses can contact the Business Response Team at (615) 743-3007.

NashvilleBusinessRecovery.org, is a portal for businesses that want to contribute to flood recovery efforts and connects businesses impacted by the flood with needed resources. Both businesses affected and those willing to help are encouraged to fill out an online “Business Recovery Form” so the Business Response Team can gain a better understanding of businesses’ individual needs and structure a coordinated plan of corporate involvement to meet those needs. Individual business data provided on the form will remain confidential, and flood-affected businesses will have the option of authorizing the Business Response Team to provide relevant information to businesses and organizations that have been identified as resources to assist them.

The Business Response Team is co-chaired by Henry Hicks of Gray Line of Tennessee, Orrin Ingram of Ingram Industries Inc., Christine Karbowiak of Bridgestone Americas, Inc. and Gregg Morton of AT&T.
